Watch Jack White dedicate ‘Icky Thump’ to Donald Trump

“That’s for you, Trump! You can’t be a president and a prostitute, too, Trump!”

Jack White has dedicated ‘Icky Thump’ to Donald Trump, as he performed the seminal White Stripes track during a recent festival appearance.

As he headlined New York’s Governors Ball on Friday, White used the track to deliver a powerful attack against the President.

After singing the song’s second verse, (which features the lyrics “White Americans, what/ Nothing better to do/ Why don’t you kick yourself out/ You’re an immigrant too/ Who’s using who/ What should we do?/ Well, you can’t be a pimp/ And a prostitute too”), White added: “That’s for you, Trump! You can’t be a president and a prostitute, too, Trump!”

He then repeatedly sang  the phrase “Icky Trump.”

Check out footage of the performance below.

White’s stinging attack of Trump comes after he proved himself to be a vocal Trump critic during his unexpected Presidential victory in 2016.

At the time, The White Stripes sold ‘Icky Trump’ t-shirts online.

The band also attacked Trump’s campaign for using ‘Seven Nation Army’.
Speaking in a statement issued through Third Man Records, the band said: “Regarding the use of ‘Seven Nation Army’ in a Donald Trump campaign video, The White Stripes would like to unequivocally state that they have nothing whatsoever to do with this video. They are disgusted by this association, and by the illegal use of their song.”
