Jake Bugg, AlunaGeorge and Lucy Rose announced for Beach Break Live

Devlin and Lulu James will also appear at the revamped Cornwall festival

Jake Bugg, Alunageorge and Lucy Rose are among the first names announced for Beach Break Live festival in June.

Devlin, Lulu James and Foreign Beggars will also be on the bill, where they will be joined by almost 100 other yet-to-be announced artists. Previous acts to play there include Tinie Tempah, Calvin Harris, Ben Howard and Chase and Status.

The festival had, for the past three years, taken place in Pembrey Country Park in South Wales, but will move to Newquay in Cornwall this year as part of a revamp. Organisers want to make the festival as the UK’s first music holiday, complete with pool parties, rooftop raves, street art and a circus.

Ian Forshaw, founder of Beach Break Live, said: “The festival world is changing; we need and want to bring our ticket holders more than just musicians on a stage. Beach Break Live has always had its community and the experience at its heart and over the years we have grown to become one of the biggest festivals in the UK.

“Now we’re playing the game-changer, we’re bringing something that no-one else can or will, we’re transforming not just Newquay but the whole experience. I cannot wait for what is set to be the ultimate music holiday. Imagine Rio Carnival surfing the perfect turquoise wave of Cornwall.”

The festival takes place from June 20 to 24. For more information go to the festival’s website.
