James Blake played songs from his new album for the first time at a gig in Los Angeles last night.
The British singer-songwriter released his third full-length ‘The Colour In Anything’ earlier this month (May 6), following 2013’s Mercury Prize-winning ‘Overgrown’ and his 2011 self-titled debut.
Pitchfork reports that Blake performed at the Belasco Theater in LA on Monday night (May 16), where he treated fans to renditions of his album’s title track, plus ‘Modern Soul’ and ‘Timeless’.
He was joined by Connan Mockasin and Moses Sumney during the gig. Watch footage below.
James Blake previously unveiled a video for his Bon Iver collaboration ‘I Need A Forest Fire’. Bon Iver singer Justin Vernon recently said that his collaboration with Blake “came from wonderful accidents and good friendship”.
