Wimbledon singer inspires mass sing-a-longs at Staffordshire site
Jamie T enjoyed some of the sing-a-longs of this year’s V Festival – playing the JJB Arena at the Staffordshire site this evening (August 17).
Backed by his band The Pacemakers, the fans backing vocals echoed loudly around the tent as the Wimbledon singer-songwriter played.
“Thank you so much, it’s good to be back,” Jamie T declared, applauding their singing mid-way through the gig. “We haven’t played a show in about a year so we appreciate you all turning up.”
Then switching to his acoustic bass, the singer performed ‘Back In The Game’ before his band rejoined him for an amped version of ‘Bassguitar’.
As with his appearance yesterday (August 16) at the Chelmsford site, he debuted new, fighting song ‘Sticks And Stones’, though did not play second new song ’Bruce’.
Asking the large crowd, who were still singing along loudly if they were “ready for a dance”, he finished up with ‘Salvador’ and ‘Sheila’.
Jamie T played:
‘If You’ve Got The Money’
‘Ike And Tina’
‘Sticks And Stones’
‘Back In The Game’
‘Calm Down Dearest’
