Jamiroquai have cancelled their second open air UK concert in as many days.
Yesterday (June 26), the band’s only London date of the summer at Finsbury Park on July 20 was pulled due to a “licensing problem”.
Today, a show set for the following evening (July 21) at Nottingham Wollaton Park has also been cancelled.
A statement issued reads: “Due to unforeseen technical problems regarding the size and nature of the stage required for the Jamiroquai appearance at the City In The Park show in Nottingham, the promoter has decided to cancel the event.
“The main area of concern is that the ground where the stage would be situated has been deemed temporarily unsuitable & incapable of coping with the stage and production that the Jamiroquai show requires.
“Nottingham City Council has confirmed that the area would need to be levelled and re-turfed but would not be ready in time for the show or before passing any necessary safety checks.”
Fun Lovin’ Criminals, who were due to support the band, will now play a headline show at Nottingham Rock City that night.
