How many of these are on your list?
Janelle Monáe has shared a list of her favourite books that shaped her as an artist and it’s no surprise how much of a science-fiction fan she is.
As reported by Consequence Of Sound, Monáe explained her love of sci-fi many years back: “Science fiction is just an exciting and new way of telling universal stories and it allows the reader to come to the conclusion and draw parallels between the present and the future”.
The artist’s list isn’t just a list of her favourite sci-fi novels, however. Aldous Huxley, Isaac Asimov and Malcolm X all make the cut.
