The legendary group - with Red Hot Chili Pepper Flea on bass - play the Coachella bash in California...
Legendary rockers JANE’S ADDICTION are to reform for the forthcoming COACHELLA FESTIVAL in INDIO, CALIFORNIA on April 28.
The original Jane’s Addiction line-up will be altered to feature Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, who will replace original member Eric Avery at the event. The other original members, singer Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro and Stephen Perkins will make up the rest of the band.
Although the band have never officially split, Jane’s Addiction have not performed live since 1997. Farrell has always concentrated on numerous other projects. As well as founding the Lollapalooza touring festivals in the US, he has forged a solo career as a DJ as well as playing in another band, Porno For Pyros.
Rap and dance acts dominate the rest of the one-day festival. Acts confirmed so far include Tricky, The Orb, Ozomatli, Weezer, Fatboy Slim, The Roots, Iggy Pop, Aphex Twin, Chemical Brothers and Dandy Warhols. A full list is available on the official festival website [url=]www.coachella.com.
According to MTV news, this year’s festival, which is in its third year, will only take place over one day instead of two, so the festival bill will have quality throughout its five stages.
