JANET’S CHINESE WHISPERS!

And she was invloved in a fruitless relationship with a warrior - so she's written a song about it...

JANET JACKSON has revealed that the track ‘CHINA LOVE’ on her album ‘ALL FOR YOU’ is based on a past-life experience in which she was the daughter of an emperor and embroiled in a fruitless relationship with an ancient Chinese warrior.

“I was told that in my past life, I was the daughter of an emperor. I was very much in love with a warrior, and we never had the relationship we really wanted to, because I was to marry into royalty. And [I was told that] in some point in my [current] life I would possibly meet up with this person. So I started wondering, ‘Where is he? Is he here now? Have I met him before?’ That’s where ‘China Love’ comes from,” she told mtv.com.

Jackson has also revealed that the follow-up to her current single ‘All For You’, will be ‘Someone To Call My Lover’, which samples the song ‘Ventura Highway’, a hit in 1972 for America, and the video is to be shot in May in either Los Angeles or Hawaii.

Last week Jackson announced details of an extensive US tour, and is expected to confirm details of European dates soon. She is also to take part in her first webchat, on [url=]www.msn.com on May 10 at 9pm EST (2am GMT on May 11).

Jackson, who is expected to storm into the Number One slot of the Billboard album chart this week, speaks extensively about her family and personal life in this week’s NME, on sale in London today (May 1) and the rest of the UK tomorrow.
