Jay-Z spoof found to violate copyright laws

The ‘Newport’ music video spoofing Jay-Z and Alicia Keys‘New York State Of Mind’ has been removed from
YouTube due to a copyright infringement.

The clip, called ‘Newport State Of Mind’, had been a massive success since going online. It features unsigned rapper Alex Warren and singer Terema Wainwright, and references the Welsh city of Newport.

However, when fans try to find the video on YouTube, a message reads: “This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by EMI Music Publishing Ltd.”

However other video sites like Kontraband.com are still showing the video at present.

Goldie Lookin Chain have also recorded a response to the song, which was written by 24-year-old Londoner Morgan-Jane Delaney, called ‘Newport State Of Mind (You’re Not From Newport)’.
