Rapper holds a moment of silence at New York show
Jay-Z played a tribute concert in New York last night (September 11) in memory of those that lost their lives in the terrorist attacks eight years ago.
Kanye West also helped out on vocal duties on the rapper’s Number One hit ‘Run This Town’, which is taken from his new album ‘The Blueprint 3’.
During the show Jay-Z paid tribute to the September 11 victims as he told the crowd: “Make some noise for everybody that lost their lives so we can live ours.
“We stand here tonight eight years later even stronger, even stronger.”
Halfway through the show, he also held a moment of silence to remember all those who lost their lives in the terror attacks, reports BBC News.
All proceeds made from the gig will be donated to funds that help families affected by the attack.
