The 'On The Run' tour is set to gross $100 million, writes Billboard
Billboard writes that the tour, which begins in Miami on June 25 and finishes the US leg in San Francisco on August 5, has already made $86 million (£50,463,561) in ticket sales, and is set to make $100 million (£58,695,953), with 850,000 tickets likely to sell. This would make it one of the most successful tours of the year.
Meanwhile, Jay Z and Beyoncé have announced the first European dates for the ‘On The Run’ tour. Two nights at the Stade de France in Paris are the only confirmed dates thus far, with the couple set to perform on September 12 and 13. The news was confirmed via promoter Live Nation, who tweeted to say: “@S_C_ & @Beyonce play 2 exclusive shows in Paris this September. Tickets on sale June 19.”
The married couple regularly appear during each other’s live shows, with Jay Z performing with Beyoncé in London earlier this year when the Mrs Carter Tour arrived at the O2 Arena in February. The tour will take in 16 US dates through June, July and August.
