Cara Delevingne to sign to Jay-Z’s label?

The Burberry model is in talks over releasing her music through Roc Nation

Model Cara Delevingne is in talks regarding releasing her music through Jay-Z‘s label Roc Nation.

20-year-old Cara, who has shot to fame with high profile modelling campaigns for the likes of Burberry, Chanel and H&M and is also noted for being close friends with pop star Rita Ora, is reported to have sent the rapper demos of her songs in an attempt to forge a music career.

A source speaking to The Sun claimed that Delevingne has received advice from both Ora and Rihanna on her burgeoning singing career. They also stated that “She’s hopeful the firm will take her on to their roster and help guide her music career. Cara met Jay-Z backstage at Beyonce’s London show earlier this month and they got on well. So there is a good chance Roc Nation will take her on.”

Delevingne has had no musical history to date, but was crowned Model of the Year at the 2012 British Fashion Awards and has also had a small acting role in the film adaptation of ‘Anna Karenina’.

Currently, Roc Nation include the like of Rihanna, Kylie Minogue, Calvin Harris and Haim on their roster as well as releasing Jay-Z’s own material.

The ‘Empire State of Mind’ star also recently came to attention when people jokingly accused him of being a time traveller after photos emerged of a man in the 1930s bearing a striking resemblance to the musician. The picture, taken in Harlem, was posted on the New York Public Library’s Schomberg Centre blog.
