Jay-Z reportedly spent over $90,000 at a New York bar at the weekend, including an epic $11,000 tip.
According to Page Six, the rapper was celebrating the birthday of his friend Juan “OG” Perez, the president of Roc Nation Sports.
After picking up a tab of $13,000 for dinner at the Zuma restaurant in Midtown on Sunday (February 18), Jay and his party of six then spent $9,000 on drinks at Made in Mexico in Inwood.
They later moved on to the Playroom nightclub, spending $91,135 on 40 bottles of Jay’s own Ace Of Spades champagne brand.
Their server uploaded the jaw-dropping receipt to Snapchat (see below).

After the story of Jay’s big night out went viral, many appeared confused at why 40 bottles were ordered for six guests, but the Page Six report states that Jay “was seen handing bottles out to other tables in the club”.
40 bottles for 6 guests? It’s either time to have an intervention or Jay-Z is drinking out of the world’s tiniest bottles and we’re all dumb and poor for drinking out of our regular sized bottles. https://t.co/E8CFTJ7tSy

Jay-Z bought 40 bottles of #AceofSpades Gold for his 6 guests and people are confused by this. Listen, if you're Jay-Z, and you can afford a $90k bar tab, you don't drink the full bottle. You take a sip and then throw it away.

Other pointed out how the tip Jay gave wasn’t actually that generous at all:
Yeah, Jay-Z left a 11,000$ tip on a 80,000$ tab. That’s not even 15%. pic.twitter.com/iBCZpH09jV

One Twitter user, meanwhile, commented on how Jay was paying “a 400-550% markup on his own booze” and that he clearly “understands that a little viral promotion is worth its weight in gold”.
I should add… no judgement. His money. His party. His life.
He's actually showing that he's business-savvy as he understands that a little viral promotion is worth its weight in gold. (or Rose)

Jay missed the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday night for Perez’s birthday outing, but his wife Beyonce and daughter Blue Ivy did attend – with Blue Ivy Carter stealing the show.
