Jay-Z releases ‘Blue’s Freestyle’ video to celebrate daughter Blue Ivy’s birthday

The track appears on Jay's latest LP '4:44'

Jay-Z and Beyoncé‘s daughter Blue Ivy turned 6 this week, with her father sharing an animated video for ‘Blue Ivy’s Freestyle’ to celebrate.

The track, which features as a bonus track on Jay-Z’s latest album ‘4:44’, features vocals form the superstar couple’s daughter herself, in a move which surprised even the most hardened, longtime Jay-Z fans.

Now, in celebration of Blue Ivy’s birthday, Jay-Z has released an animated video for the track, created by Artlife Studio. It features Blue Ivy in a talent show, as her mum and dad watch on, with a ballet performance segueing into her freestyle.

Jay-Z and Beyonce‘s recent video for ‘Family Feud’ has sparked outrage from the Catholic League, with the organisation branding it ‘exploitative’.

The video for Jay-Z’s song – which is taken from the Brooklyn rapper’s thirteenth studio album ‘4:44’ and features guest vocals from Beyoncé – premiered on Tidal last month (December 29).

The nearly 8-minute long video sees Jay-Z take his daughter Blue Ivy Carter into a church where he confesses his sins to Beyoncé.

The Catholic League, who are not officially connected to the Catholic church, have now released a statement from its president Bill Donohue, condemning the rapper’s latest visuals.
