The track, which will be released as a single this May and was played for the first time on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show, is set to appear on both ‘The Gold Edition’ of Ware’s debut LP ‘Devotion’. Ware will put out the album on April 15, with the LP set to include an extra four tracks including a reworking of her old song ‘Wildest Moment’, which features a remix from A$AP Rocky.
As previously reported, Ware will also release ‘Devotion’ in the US this April, with the album set to feature both ‘Imagine It Was Us’ and the collaboration with A$AP Rocky. The rapper had previously spoken about his desire to work with Ware, telling one interviewer: “I knew about her since last summer. I’m working with her, I’m going to work with her. I want to bad,” he said, before adding: “I don’t care about her being a star, I just think she has a beautiful voice and a lot of talent. I haven’t got the chance or honour to meet her yet – I just love her art.”
‘Devotion’ was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2012 but lost out to eventual winners Alt-J. The Brit Award nominated Ware recently compared herself to Curb Your Enthusiasm writer and actor, Larry David. “I’m so neurotic – I’m like Larry David,” she said. “I’ve gotten to a position where all these people are helping me, and I don’t want to let them down.”
Jessie Ware recently concluded a headline UK tour, finishing with two shows at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
