JET PROPELLED!

The band’s debut ’Get Born’ goes platinum…

Jet have officially passed the platinum sales mark for their debut album ’GET BORN’, just one year after its UK release.

The platinum disc, celebrating sales of 300,000, will join ’Get Born’’s Australian success – where the LP has already gone five times platinum – and its US platinum triumph.

Worldwide sales now total 2.5 million.

Jet also recently won the ’Best Rock Video’ category at the MTV Video Music Awards, which drummer Chris Cester dedicated to his and brother Nic’s “late, great father, John Cester.”

The band are currently taking time off and will kick of their touring schedule again with some Australian shows at the end of October. The group are also due to play a string of dates in the US before they head into the studio to record the follow-up to ’Get Born’.

’Family Values’, the first Jet DVD, is scheduled for a UK release through Warner Vision in November.
