The instrument was used on his cover of Bob Dylan's 'All Along The Watchtower'

A guitar owned by Jimi Hendrix is set to sell for £120,000 at auction.

The rock legend bought the instrument second-hand for £15 in the mid-1960s.

Hendrix used the guitar to write a number of songs and it was used on his cover version of Bob Dylan‘s ‘All Along The Watchtower’, reports DailyRecord.co.uk.

In 2008, a 1965 Fender Stratocaster that Hendrix set on fire during a gig at London’s Astoria in 1967 sold for £280,000.

The auction takes place at Bonhams Of London on December 15. For more information, visit Bonhams.com.
