The fake shoe came with a compass and fake fur
A new segment of Jimmy Kimmel’s US late-night show sees the host tricking Kanye West fans into thinking that fake, homemade Yeezy shoes are the real deal.
Kimmel sent a reporter to the streets of Hollywood, along with a black shoe decorated with fake fur (which they claimed was cloned from Kim Kardashian’s own hair) and a compass. The reporter told fans that the shoe was Kanye’s new ‘Yeezy Boost 2000’ shoe when in fact it only cost $14 to make.
One fan described the shoe as “kind of different” while another said she liked the “furry hair on it”. Watch in the video beneath.
Kimmel’s mocking of West dates back to 2013 when Kanye hit out at the comedian on Twitter for joking about his infamous Zane Lowe interview.
West has extended his Saint Pablo Tour with a substantial second leg of US and Canadian dates.
The tour’s first leg is due to conclude with a gig in Las Vegas on October 29. The rapper will now begin a 23-date second leg of the acclaimed tour, which famously includes an innovative “hoverboard stage”, in San Jose on November 17.
The new dates include rescheduled shows in Philadelphia and Detroit, which West pulled after his wife Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in Paris earlier this month.
According to the current schedule, the Saint Pablo Tour will now wrap in Brooklyn on December 31.
