Guitar legend will play lengthy tour this autumn
Johnny Marr is to embark on a UK tour this October – O2 Priority Tickets for the tour will be available from 9am on Wednesday June 4.
The guitarist and solo singer will tour his 2013 solo album ‘The Messenger’ on a lengthy jaunt around the country, including a homecoming show at Manchester’s O2 Apollo on October 25. The tour starts in Lincoln on October 13 and concludes in Leeds 16 days later.
Speaking to NME earlier this year, Marr confirmed that he is already working on a new album, which he says has a London feel.
“I think I’ve got all the songs written now,” Marr said at the time. “It’s cool. It’s got a real London feel, this album. I’m recording it down there at a studio near the river – I want to capture this busy, loud, very modern place.”
Johnny Marr will play:
Lincoln The Engine Shed (October 13)
Southend Cliffs Pavillion (14)
Bexhill De La War (15)
Wolverhampton Civic Hall (17)
Cardiff Great Hall (18)
