'Magnets' 'is taken from Disclosure's second album 'Caracal'
Disclosure revealed the remix on their official YouTube channel today and followed the news up with a tweet, calling the UK producer a “legend” and giving the re-work their seal of approval.
‘Magnets’ ‘is taken from Disclosure’s second album ‘Caracal’. The album was released in September and alongside Lorde, features guest vocalists incuding The Weeknd, Gregory Porter and Sam Smith.
Listen to the remix below:
In the original video for ‘Magents’ Lorde plays a woman who is having an affair with a married man. Realising that the man is married, the singer gets her revenge by tying him to a chair and pushing him into a swimming pool.
Lorde went on to explain the meaning behind the video on Twitter. “One of my life goals has always been to one day play a hitgirl who pretends to seduce then burns alive douchey boyfriends,” she wrote. “The most important part of the video is when you see her black eye as she turns away at the window. Hope it all makes sense from that point.”
Disclosure also recently announced details of four UK gigs to take place in November and December.
The duo will play dates in Glasgow and Manchester, plus two nights at London’s Alexandra Palace toward the end of the year.
Disclosure will play:
Glasgow SSE Hydro (November 26)
Manchester Central (November 28)
London Alexandra Palace (December 1, 2)
