Homme appeared at benefit concert for The Afghan Whigs' Dave Rosser

Josh Homme gave a rare acoustic performance at a benefit concert for The Afghan Whigs’ Dave Rosser.

A longtime member of The Afghan Whigs, The Twilight Singers, and Gutter Twins, Rosser was recently diagnosed with inoperable colon cancer.

Homme performed Them Crooked Vultures’ ‘Spinning in the Daffodils’ and unreleased song ‘Villains of Circumstance’ during his stint on the stage. He also covered Johnny Cash‘s ‘Dark as a Dungeon’ and Cab Callaway’s ‘Minnie the Moocher’. You can see footage below.

The concert took place at Los Angeles’ Teragram Ballroom and also featured performances from Eagles of Death Metal, The Gutter Twins and Duff McKagan.

Meanwhile, the Queens Of The Stone Age frontman appeared on The Walking Dead spin-off, Talking Dead last week.

Homme appeared on the show’s panel after-show and took questions from fans.
