As Rolling Stone reports, court prosecutors have published footage of Bieber stumbling through his sobriety test and doing push-ups in his cell following his arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol in January of this year.
The pop singer was pulled over in Miami after his yellow Lamborghini was spotted as one of two vehicles racing at 4.09am, with police spokesman Sergeant Bobby Hernandez subsequently revealing that Bieber had been “smoking marijuana and he did consume a beer”.
Bieber has pleaded not guilty to charges of driving under the influence, resisting arrest and driving with an invalid license, and will face trial in Miami on March 3. Earlier this month Bieber was charged with assaulting a limo driver, while in January, police in California searched Bieber’s home after he allegedly threw eggs at his neighbour’s house.
Last month (January 31), the pop star’s private jet was also detained and searched under the suspicion of having marijuana on board. The plane, which Bieber had chartered to attend the Super Bowl (February 2), was held at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey as police reportedly smelled marijuana.
Meanwhile, the White House has said that it will respond to a petition demanding Justin Bieber’s deportation from the US.
The petition, which currently has over 200,000 signatures, calls on the White House to revoke the Canadian pop star’s green card and remove him from the US. According to US Government protocol, once a petition has over 100,000 signatures, it must be reviewed by White House staff.
