Paparazzo run over taking pictures of teen star's Ferrari
A man has been killed while attempting to take pictures of Justin Bieber.
The unnamed man, believed to be a paparazzo, received fatal injuries after being run over on the side of Sepulveda Boulevard near Getty Center Drive. It is believed the man was taking pictures of Bieber’s white Ferrari though the teen pop star was not in the vehicle at the time.
The Los Angeles Times quotes LA police officer James Stoughton as saying that the photographer died in a nearby hospital shortly after the crash on Tuesday night (Jan 1). It is understood that the photographer was struck as he walked across the boulevard after finishing taking pictures. The police confirmed the driver of the vehicle which killed the man is unlikely to face charges.
Bieber, a prolific Twitter user with over 32m followers, has yet to make any comment on the incident.
Meanwhile, Justin Bieber last made the news headlines after he it was revealed that US TV network ABC are planning to create a sitcom based on his life.
TV Guide says that the pop sensation’s formative years could be used as the basis for a new comedy show on US TV network ABC, with reports claiming that the as-yet-untitled show is currently in development.
Although details are currently scarce, it is thought that the show would focus on Bieber’s life before he became famous, with particular attention spent on his interactions with his unusual family and his awkward teenage experiences. Bieber, meanwhile, would serve as executive producer on the show while his manager, Scooter Braun, would also assume a similar role.
