Justin Bieber offers support to Kanye West: “Our job is to love, not to always agree”

"Love you Kanye!", Bieber writes

Justin Bieber has offered his support to Kanye West, saying that we should “love” even if we don’t “agree”.

West has repeatedly come under fire in recent weeks after praising Trumpcriticising Obamameeting with controversial right-wing pundit Candace Owens and, earlier this week, making controversial comments about slavery.

While Will.I.Am said that Kanye’s slavery comments “broke” his heart, Bieber has taken to Instagram to show his support for West.

“Our job is to love, not to always agree!”, Bieber wrote in an Instagram story, adding: “Love you Kanye!”. See a screenshot of that message beneath.

On Tuesday (May 1), West told TMZ: “I’m a black person, a [member] of the black community, but I’m not just that. I’m always gonna represent that, but I also represent the world.”

“When you hear about slavery for 400 years, for 400 years?! That sounds like a choice,” he went on argue. “We’re mentally imprisoned.”

West later clarified his views on Twitter, saying: “Of course I know that slaves did not get shackled and put on a boat by free will.”

“My point is for us to have stayed in that position even though the numbers were on our side means that we were mentally enslaved,” he added.

Meanwhile, Kanye is said to have returned to Wyoming to finish work on his new album. Here’s everything we know about his record so far.
