Kaiser Chiefs confirm Glastonbury rumours

Ricky Wilson admits NME were right all along

The Leeds five-piece join the likes of Arctic Monkeys, The Who, Arcade Fire, Bjork, Hot Chip, Lily Allen and The Rakes in confirming their slot.

“All the rumours are flying around – and they’re all true,” frontman Ricky Wilson told BBC 6Music. “I read in the NME that we’re doing Glastonbury and Wireless and that’s all I can say, apart from ‘They’re right’.”

The band will be performing an intimate Shockwaves NME Awards Show this Friday (March 2) at London‘s Shepherd’s Bush Empire.

Drummer Nick Hodgson also said the band are not too worried about cracking the American market when the five-piece head over to the US in April.

“We’re not going to flog ourselves to death on it. We’ll give them as much time as we give everywhere else,” he explained
