Kaiser Chiefs kick off 2007 with UK tour

Kaiser Chiefs have announced details of a UK tour in the New Year.

The band will play 12 shows around the release of their as-yet-untitled second album. The follow-up to 2005’s ‘Employment’ is out on February 26. The tour starts five nights before that, on February 21 in Manchester.

The dates are at:

Wolverhampton Civic Hall (23,25)

Newcastle Carling Academy (26,27)

London Shepherds Bush Empire (March 3,4)

Glasgow Carling Academy (6,7)

Cardiff University Great Hall (9,10)

The first single from the album, ‘Ruby’, gets its’ radio premiere on BBC Radio 1’s Jo Whiley show on Monday (January 8).

As previously announced, the band also play four North American April in association with NME.
