West’s sixth album, ‘Yeezus’, featured a photo of a CD in a transparent case as its album artwork.

His new album ’The Life of Pablo’, released last month, is currently only available to stream on Jay Z’s music streaming service TIDAL. West holds a stake in the company along with more than a dozen other musicians.

According to Billboard, sources previously said that Def Jam and Universal Music Group were working with West on several possible release strategies for the album, and that a physical version was planned.

Last week, West was embroiled in an Twitter argument with EDM producer Deadmau5 after he posted a screenshot that appeared to show him searching for software on a piracy site. He later denied that the laptop in question was his.
