French Montana shares Kanye West-produced single ‘Lose It’ featuring Lil Wayne, Rick Ross

Rapper's new single begins with a sample from one of West's best-known Jay Z collaborations

Rapper French Montana has shared his star-studded new single ‘Lose It’, which was co-produced by Kanye West and The Mekanics.

The track, which begins with a sample from West and Jay Z’s ‘Niggas In Paris’, finds French Montana trading verses with fellow rappers Lil Wayne and Rick Ross. Listen below.

‘Lose It’ is taken from French Montana’s forthcoming second LP, ‘Mac & Cheese: The Album’, which is expected to be released in August. French Montana said last June (2014) that he and West had been working on five tracks together, for potential inclusion on either of their next albums.

Meanwhile, West is preparing to headline the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury this Saturday night (June 27), with Florence And The Machine headlining the Friday and The Who closing the festival on Sunday. Bookmakers recently offered odds of 2/1 for the rapper being booed off stage at the Worthy Farm event.

In a new video interview with NME, Garbage‘s Shirley Manson has clarified matters surrounding an open letter she penned earlier this year which seemed to take aim at West, saying: “I can think he’s a brat, and still think he’s magnificent, you know.” Read more here.
