Rapper worries that a photographer-controlled camera could fall into his swimming pool and electrocute his daughter
Kanye West has expressed his fear that a drone camera controlled by the paparazzi could kill his daughter.
The rapper’s fears tally up with previous concerns he has expressed about his treatment at the hands of photographers, as shown in recently revealed transcriptions from a 2013 court deposition after paparazzi photographer Daniel Ramos sued him for assault and battery.
The following comments came from the same transcription as obtained by TMZ. West is alleged to have said: “Is your daughter stalked by, like, drones? Are there drones flying where she’s trying to learn how to swim at age one? Wouldn’t you like to just teach your daughter how to swim without a drone flying? What happens if a drone falls right next to her? Would it electrocute her? Could it fall and hit her if that paparazzi doesn’t understand how to remote control the drone over their house?”
The drone comments follow a similar statement made in the same deposition in which the rapper compared the lack of privacy he suffers at the hands of photographers to racism in the 1960s.
West recently revealed details of his forthcoming album, saying he already has most of the first single finished and hopes to see it come out by the end of the year at the latest.
