Travi$ Scott has heard rapper's new LP and says it's 'next-level' stuff
Kanye West‘s new album sounds like it came from the “year 3000”, according to one of the artists from his GOOD Music stable.
Houston rapper Travi$ Scott, who co-produced three songs on GOOD Music’s debut compilation album ‘Cruel Summer’ and also contributed vocals to the track ‘Sin City’, told MTV News that he has heard West’s much-anticipated new LP and promised it took his sound to the “next level”.
“That shit is like some next-level 3000,” he said. “We’re already in the year 3000 fucking with that shit, and that’s why I love hanging out with those guys over there. You get caught on to that new shit extra fast.”
Asked about West’s secretive approach to the new LP and his reluctance to share too many details about the record, meanwhile, Scott replied: “You know how he feels about his shit. What I can say is, it’s cool as fuck, you just learn a lot, you see a lot, you hear a lot and you just get the information super-early.”
Yesterday (May 13), Scottish producer Hudson Mohawke, who also helped produce tracks on ‘Strange Mercy’, premiered two new tracks from West during a DJ set in Poland – to see fan-shot video footage of the performance, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click.
