Kasabian have pledged to play new material at this weekend’s Isle Of Wight Festival.

The headliners spoke to NME.COM in an exclusive video interview ahead of the bash, which you can watch by clicking above.

And guitarist Serge Pizzorno revealed that while certain parties are sceptical at the prospect of bands playing new songs during festival sets, they are so pleased with the tracks that they will not be put off.

He said: “I think we’re gonna play a couple of new things. It’s weird because people get a bit frightened, they say ‘ah no, you can’t’, but I don’t think it really matters. We’re playing new stuff, it’s sounding great so we just wanna put it out there. So yeah, we’re gonna be playing some new ones.”

Meanwhile, frontman Tom Meighan revealed who he is looking forward to watching. He said: “Plan B‘s there, he’s top. Jeff Beck as well is interesting. And Iggy And The Stooges as well – especially that puppet he carries around with him now!”

Serge also looks forward to being reunited with old friend Liam Gallagher, who is playing with Beady Eye. He said: “We’ll get there on the Sunday and obviously Beady Eye are playing before us so it’ll be great to see them boys again.”

“I know we’re gonna have a good time after! We’re gonna get on a hovercraft and go somewhere.”
