Kasabian at T In The Park: ‘We want to work with Jay-Z’

Plus Tom Meighan gives his verdict on England's world cup

Kasabian say they would be up for collaborating with Jay-Z on their new record after sharing a stage with the rapper at T In The Park yesterday (July 11).

Jay-Z took to the Main Stage first followed by Kasabian, who headlined the festival.

Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan told NME in a video interview you can watch on the right now, he is up for doing a song with the rapper.

“I’d love to do a tune with Jay-Z. We don’t need him and he probably doesn’t need us but it would be good to collaborate with someone like him,” declared the singer.

Meighan also passed judgement on England‘s World Cup run, having having been the first person to wear the side’s away shirt when it was launched in Paris in February.

“The England situation? I just couldn’t give a shit,” he sighed. “I wore the shirt for promo and for the band and the purposes of our music because it was a good thing to promote and to wear an England shirt is a great thing to wear with honour, but the team just didn’t turn up, man. They sucked. I’m club over country anytime, I’m a Leicester City fan, and England suck, let’s not talk about England, they suck.”
