EXCLUSIVE – SHOCKWAVES NME AWARDS SUPERSHOW REVEALED!

Kasabian, Goldie Lookin Chain and Babyshambles to play on the same bill...

Kasabian, Goldie Lookin Chain and Babyshambles will take over LONDON CARLING BRIXTON ACADEMY for the biggest SHOCKWAVES NME AWARDS SHOW of the year.

The three bands have all confirmed for the gig on February 10, which is likely to be one of the most in-demand shows of 2005. The order that the bands will play will be decided on the night, with all groups playing a 30-minute set. Doors open at 6.30pm, with the first band on at 7pm.

One more amazing band will be announced shortly.

Speaking about the date, Kasabian’s Serge Pizzorno said: “It’s going to be good fun! We’ve been doing European dates which have been nice because it’s been back down to earth, the crowds are into it but it’s more of a battle, so it will be nice to play Brixton again.

“I love those awards shows, when there’s loads of bands playing, you’ve got a short amount of time so you’ve really got to be on it. It’s going to be a good night.”

Tickets for the show are on sale now priced £20. For availability call the NME Ticketline on 0870 1 663 633 or [url=]click here or call the NME Ticketline on 0870 1 663 663.
