Reclusive singer's first live dates in 35 years lead to huge rush on ticketing websites
Tickets to see Kate Bush live in London today (March 28) sold out in just 15 minutes.
The singer, who has not toured since 1979, will play 22 live dates at the Eventim Apollo London later this year. More than 80,000 tickets sold out almost immediately after going on sale at 9:30am.
A statement from Kate Bush said: “I’m completely overwhelmed by the response to the shows. Thank you so much to everyone. Looking forward to seeing you all later this year.”
The live shows will take place in August, September and October. The rush for tickets follows the huge demand for a pre-sale allocation available earlier this week (March 26) to fans registered at her official website, which sold out in 30 minutes.
Standard ticket prices ranged between £49-£135. Higher-priced hospitality packages include a hamper containing foods including salmon pâté, poussin caesar salad, prawn salad with pistachio cous cous and a bamboo cone of chocolate and caramel-dipped berries.
Kate Bush will play:
London Hammersmith Apollo (August 26, 27, 29, 30, September 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 16, 17, 19, 20, 23, 24, 26, 27, 30, October 1)
