Kate Nash recently said she would be a “fucked-up person” if she didn’t write songs.

Speaking to the Independent, Nash said that if it wasn’t for her singing career she would be a “very negative person”.

She said: “I sing because I have to get things out. I need to puke them up, to purge. If I didn’t, all my anger would go into very negative areas. If I didn’t write songs, I’d be a very fucked-up person, no question.”

Nash is currently on tour in the UK.
