Trio to play Sunday afternoon (June 27) set on Avalon Stage

Keane have announced that they will make a special guest appearance at this year’s Glastonbury festival.

The trio are set to perform an acoustic set on the Avalon Stage at Worthy Farm on the Sunday afternoon (June 27) at 4.35pm (BST).

“The festival clashes with our UK Forest Tour this year, but we really wanted to get involved with their 40th anniversary celebrations so at the last minute we’ve decided to play an acoustic set on the Avalon Stage,” explained frontman Tom Chaplin.

“We’ve been going to Glastonbury as punters for years now,” he added. “I love it there – we all do. The atmosphere simply cannot be beaten and it’s the best place to stumble upon all sorts of amazing acts.”

This year’s event will be headlined by Gorillaz, Muse and Stevie Wonder. Head to NME.COM/festivals for more on this year’s event.
