After lighting rig falls down

Keane’s show at Brighton’s Centre yesterday (October 25) was thrown into chaos when a lighting rig crashed onto the stage.

The band had been on stage for an hour and 20 minutes and were about to start an encore when the equipment fell behind the stage. The venue had to be evacuated.

An audience member told Thisisfakediy: “They started the encore and they had a big lighting rig on a stand which was lifted up into gantry. It got caught on another bit of equipment and it fell over down the back of the stage.

“No one got squashed or anything, but the band left the stage and an announcement was made saying everyone had to leave immediately due to health and safety.”

The band play London’s Alexandra Palace tonight (October 26) and tomorrow night. For ticket availability go to NME.COM/gigs.
