Kesha is recording new music in studio with Zedd

The pair teamed up live at Coachella Festival earlier this month (April)

Kesha has been pictured in the studio with electronic producer Zedd, less than two weeks after the pair teamed up live at Coachella.

The singer – who has been battling to be released from her contract with former mentor Dr Luke, who she accuses of rape – joined EDM star Zedd during his opening weekend set at Coachella. Kesha sang the DJ/producer’s song ‘True Colors’.

Having promised to work with Kesha back in February, Zedd now appears to have linked up with the singer in the studio. Both Zedd and Kesha have posted photos from the session to Instagram (see below).

“It’s a miracle when someone gives you a chance at finding your voice again,” Kesha in the caption of her photo. She went on to thank Zedd for being a “fucking beautiful person with a heart of gold”.

Earlier this month (April), Kesha failed in her legal bid to be released from her contract with pop producer Dr Luke (real name Lukasz Gottwald) and record label Sony. Kesha accuses him of drugging and raping her a decade ago, allegations that he has denied.

A New York judge threw the singer’s contract release appeal case out of court after Sony said they will not push the artist to work exclusively with Dr Luke.

Zedd is signed to Interscope, a subsidiary of Sony’s rival Universal.
