ROCK ACTION!

The US rap metal star also takes the time to deliver diatribes dedicated to Christina Aguilera and Backstreet Boys...

KID ROCK branded BRITNEY SPEARS a “hooker” at his first major venue LONDON show at BRIXTON ACADEMY last night (June 5).

The 13 million-selling US rap metal star added extra verses to his ‘Cowboy’ hit criticising Britney, Christina Aguilera and Backstreet Boys for being trite pop and suggesting they should all “kiss my ass”.

Gary Numan and Ash‘s Charlotte Hatherley were in attendance as the badass rocker and his Twisted Brown Trucker band played a theatrical show incorporating caged go-go dancers, fireworks, shooting flames, an inflatable ‘bird-flipping’ hand and a section where Kid Rock, aka Bob Ritchie, “conducts” his musicians with drumsticks.

In addition to songs from his hit album ‘Devil Without A Cause’, Rock played cover versions of Guns N’ Roses ‘Its So

Easy’ and an encore of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Deep South anthem ‘Sweet Home Alabama’. Rock‘s dwarf sidekick Joe MC, who died last November, was remembered during the show when the singer went down on one knee in front of a projection of his former band member.

In a ‘stool rock’ blues interlude the Detroit provocateur played ‘If I Was President’, claiming that the world would be a happier place if he was in the White House and promising to “turn all the churches into strip clubs”.
