Blues legend is 'back to his old self'
Blues legendary guitarist BB King has been discharged from hospital after contracting a fever which led to flu.
The 81-year-old was said to be “be back to his old self” according to Tina France, vice president of Liberman Management in New York.
He was discharged after being treated with anti-biotics at The University of Texas Medical Branch.
Due to the hospitalisation, King, who has a history of diabetes, had to cancel a performance at the Grand Opera House in Galveston, Texas last Thursday (January 25).
But he will go ahead with his forthcoming performance in Fort Worth on Tuesday (January 30). His other scheduled concerts in Texas will now take place in June, reports BBC News.
Late last year, King was honoured by President George W. Bush with the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his musical contributions.
