Band announce Liberty Stadium date on July 2
Kings Of Leon have added a date at Swansea’s Liberty Stadium to their UK tour this summer.
The Nashville band will perform in Wales on July 2 as part of a British tour which will also see them play stadium and arena shows in Newcastle, Sheffield, Manchester, Glasgow and Milton Keynes.
The band recently declared their seal of approval for fans wanting to get naked during their live shows after a fan stripped entirely nude during a performance in Birmingham in 2013. “We are all married, all very faithful and kinda boring now, so it wouldn’t hurt to see a little nudity at a concert, but it never happens,” said Nathan Followill.
Kings Of Leon have also been announced as the Sunday night headliners of Isle of Wight festival. The band will take to the Main Stage on June 15, joining already announced acts Red Hot Chili Peppers and Biffy Clyro at the top of the bill.
The Tennessee rockers released their sixth album ‘Mechanical Bull’ in September 2013. It became their fourth Number One album in the UK.
Kings Of Leon will play:
Newcastle St James’ Park (May 31)
Sheffield Motorpoint Arena (June 17)
Manchester Phones 4U Arena (18)
Glasgow SSE Hydro Arena (20)
Milton Keynes Bowl (22)
Swansea Liberty Stadium (July 2)
