Icona Pop are also set to perform at this year's ceremony in Amsterdam
Kings Of Leon have been added to the bill of performers at this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards.
The Followill brothers join Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, Snoop Dogg, The Killers and Katy Perry who were previously confirmed to perform at the event at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome on November 10. Icona Pop have also been added to line-up now and Thirty Seconds To Mars frontman Jared Leto and Rita Ora have signed up to present the awards, reports MTV.com.
Justin Timberlake and Macklemore lead this year’s nominations with five nods each, closely followed by Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Cyrus and Robin Thicke on four. Black Sabbath and Green Day will compete against Kings Of Leon, Queens Of The Stone Age and The Killers in the Best Rock category, while one of Arctic Monkeys, Fall Out Boy, Franz Ferdinand, Paramore and Thirty Seconds To Mars will be named Best Alternative.
Meanwhile, Kings Of Leon have also been confirmed for this year’s BBC Children in Need Rocks concert. The annual show is curated by Gary Barlow and will this year take place at London’s Hammersmith Apollo on November 12 and 13. Kings of Leon will play the first show on November 12 alongside Barry Manilow, Robbie Williams and Dizzee Rascal.
Barlow added: “I am absolutely thrilled to have Kings of Leon joining this year’s Rocks concerts, they really are a fantastic addition to the line-up, and I cannot wait to see their performance on the Tuesday night, which is sure to bring the house down.”
