200 fans protest

Two hundred Kiss fans protested on Saturday (August 5) at the fact the band have not been inducted into Ohio’s Rock And Roll Hall of Fame.

The demonstration focused on the fact that although the band have been eligible since the 1999, they have not been inducted into the museum.

According to the official website of the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame – acts are eligible for induction 25 years after the release of their first recording. KISS’s self-titled debut album was released in 1974.

Todd Mesek, a spokesman for the museum, told The Cleveland Plain Dealer: “We love it. It shows they’re involved and they care. These fans are passionate enough to come to the mecca and to stand up for their band.”
