They will bring their new 'dubstep' sound to five UK cities
Korn have announced plans for a five date tour of the UK, kicking off in March 2012.
The band will play a handful of shows, starting at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on March 25 before shows in Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow, finishing up at Bristol O2 Academy on April 3. Tickets go on sale at 9am tomorrow (December 21).
Korn released their ‘dubstep’ album, ‘The Path Of Totality’, earlier this month. The album, which is the band’s 10th, is comprised entirely of songs made with dubstep producers, with DJ Skrillex featuring on three tracks including lead-off single ‘Get Up’. Noisia appear on three tracks, Downlink on four and Excision on two.
Korn frontman Jonathan Davis has been outspoken about his indifference to the reluctance of some of band’s fans to embrace their new sound, going as far as to say:
“People are going to be pissed about this record. That’s made me even more excited about it. I don’t give a flying fuck what people think. We can’t win with Korn fans. Some are so stuck in 1994″.
