KYLIE’S SINGING METTLE

Kylie Minogue has survived a throat scare which could have put her UK tour into jeopardy.

The NME Carling Award winner is currently on a jaunt round the country.

She told yesterday’s News Of The World newspaper (April 28) that she had been advised by doctors to not sing during rehearsals so as to save wearing her throat out.

She said: “I was advised by doctors not to sing during dress rehearsals for the past two days to rest my voice, but there’s no way I’m going to cancel any nights – that’s not in my vocabulary. I don’t want to let the fans down. We’ve worked flat out for six months on this tour and no one is going to stop me from performing. It’s really frustrating because the whole crew and production have been brilliant. I have a special voice coach who’s invaluable but my voice is going.”

However, writing on her official website, www.kylie.com today (April 29), she said that she has recovered from the virus.
