Fights break out as hundreds try to battle into the tent to see Kylie as Atomic Kitten face a hail of missiles...
KYLIE MINOGUE was at the centre of a drama last night (August 18) as hundreds tried to cram into the already overcrowded tent where she was performing at the V2001 festival in CHELMSFORD.
A man was arrested and dozens of scuffles broke out as hoardes of festival goers tried to escape the rain and push into the tent despite the fact security guards were trying to stop anyone else entering to avoid any danger of a crush.
However, fights and arguments between angry punters and security broke out in the ensuing chaos and dozens of people pushed past the guards and jumped over barriers into the already oversubscribed JJB Puma Tent.
NME.COM understands that the man was arrested after he tried to wrestle his way past security and onto the stage as Kylie performed.
Meanwhile, at the Staffordshire site of V2001, Atomic Kitten were pelted with food, eggs and bottles during their performance.
The band soldiered on despite the barrage of missiles to complete their set including current smash hit, their cover of The Bangles’ ‘Eternal Flame’.
