KYLIE MINOGUE has recorded a duet with the underground Australian rock band GERLING.

A spokesperson for Minogue told NME.COM this afternoon (February 21) the Australian star, who is a fan of the band, recorded the track earlier in the month during time off in London.

The as-yet-untitled song is likely to feature on the Gerling’s forthcoming second album, the follow-up to ‘Children Of Telepathic Experiences’. A release date for the record is yet to be confirmed, but the band are mastering songs now.

A UK spokesperson for Gerling was reluctant to reveal what the song which features Minogue sounds like.

Gerling are well known in their hometown of Sydney, and have supported Pavement, Sebadoh, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Sean Lennon and Beck in recent years.

Kylie has recently expanded her UK tour, due to start next month. She will now play: Dublin RDS (March 1)
