HAVE A SHIFTY AT ‘DISCO’

Yep, feast your eyes on a whole host of Kylies in 'Your Disco Needs You'...

KYLIE MINOGUE’s UK record label are refusing to let NME.COM show you the AUSSIE popstrel’s new video – but a fan site is already showing it.

‘Your Disco Needs You’ has been the subject of heated debate in recent weeks. When it became known that Parlophone were not prepared to launch the Robbie Williams-penned disco anthem, from Kylie’s ‘Light Years’ album, in the UK, a posse of Kylie fans calling themselves Kyliefansunited began petitioning for its release.

But the single’s release in Germany has been accompanied by a video in which hundreds of Kylies dance in formation. Parlophone UK today continued denials that ‘Your Disco Needs You’ would be granted a UK release, so NME.COM advises fans wishing to see the video to have a dig around on www.slokylie.com.

Nonetheless, there is light somewhere in the disco tunnel. This morning (February 20) Kyliefansunited emailed NME.COM with a statement from Kylie’s Australian record label, which reads:

“Kylie and Robbie Williams said it best themselves – ‘we don’t mind doing it for the kids’. And damn it, we’re just like that too. After pressure from countless fans’ emails, phone calls and even the occasional disco glitter bomb, we’ve given in and decided to release ‘Your Disco Needs You’ to the Australian public on March 26.

“Strictly limited edition (only 10,000 copies are going to be pressed – that’s limited!), it’s going to be a see it and grab it situation! Don’t expect stock to last long as people race out in their neatest platform shoes to grab a copy or two! And with the upcoming tour and bonus ‘Light Years’ remix disk, could you not blame the entire country for going slightly Kylie bonkers?”
