L7 have a new album coming and will hit the road this year

The ‘90s grunge outfit will record their first LP since 1999 following their reunion in 2015

L7 are set to release their first full-length album since 1999 – and will hit the road later this year. Check out more details below.

The US band split up in 2001, but reunited with their classic line-up in 2015. The band is comprised of singer and guitarist Donita Sparks, guitarist Suzi Gardner, bassist Jennifer Finch and drummer Dee Plakas.

Last year, L7 released their first material in 18 years – in the form of anti-Trump track ‘Dispatch From Mar-A-Lago’. It was followed by ‘I Came Back To Bitch’ back in February. The ’90s cult icons also released the documentary, L7: Pretend We’re Not Dead, which was nominated for a VO5 NME Award earlier this year

Now, the band have announced that they will release a full record – due out February 2019. Ahead of the release, they’ll head out on a worldwide tour – including a show at London’s Electric Ballroom. In June, the group will perform at Download Festival along with Avenged SevenfoldGuns N’ Roses, and Ozzy Osbourne.

The new record has been announced via PledgeMusic.

“We’ve had such a blast hanging out, writing, and recording with each other again that we decided to keep the ball rolling,” the band say in the page description. “More song ideas have been flowing out of us every time we get together and play, so we’ve decided to make a full-length album which we will record this year.”
