Lady Gaga urged her fans to avoid listening to a new song of hers which leaked online yesterday (August 6).
A track titled ‘Aura’ turned up online yesterday with fans immediately sharing it and speculating that it will appear on Gaga’s forthcoming ‘ARTPOP’ album on its November release. However, Gaga said that the song is only a demo of the finished version and urged visitors to her Little Monsters website to avoid listening to it and assist in removing links to it online. Asked by one Little Monsters user what she thought about the track leaking, Gaga replied: “Please take these [links] down as much as possible.”
Meanwhile, Gaga has lashed out at the Russian government after she was accused of breaching immigration laws and promoting “gay propaganda” in Russia. Posting on Twitter about the incident, as well as the Russia’s recent treatment of homosexuals in the country, she wrote: “The Russian government is criminal. Oppression will be met with revolution. Russian LGBTs you are not alone. We will fight for your freedom.” She added: “Why didn’t you arrest me when you had the chance, Russia? Because you didn’t want answer to the world?”
Last month, Lady Gaga announced the release date of her ‘ARTPOP’ app and revealed a few details about what it contains. Gaga’s new album will be released through the app on November 11 and she revealed that the app will be available on iTunes and GooglePlay.
Gaga also shared the single title and artwork for single ‘Applause’, revealing that she chose the artwork, which features a close-up of her face smeared in paint, to show a more vulnerable side that she doesn’t often share with the public.
